Marijuana

Facts about Marijuna:

  • Other names: dope, Mary Jane, pot, weed, hash
  • Type of drug: both stimulant and depressant
  • How do people get it in their body? Marijuana can be smoked, cooked into food, or brewed into tea.
  • Side(semi-immediate) Effects: almost "unreal" state of mind, increased heart rate, and reduced balance/coordination, for about 2-3 1/2 hours.
  • Long Term Effects: growth disorders,reduced immunity to common illnesses(such as a cold), reduction of abilty to learn and to remember things
  • Short Term Effects: Anxiety, increases heart rate, and panic
  • What's it made of? Marijuana is made from a plant named Hemp, which originated in India. It can be made from the seeds, dried flowers, or leaves of the Hemp plant

Meth

  • Other names: ice, crank, chalk, crystal, fire, glass, go fast, speed
  • Type of drug: stimulant
  • How do people get it in their body? Ingesting(orally), injecting, snorting, or smoking it
  • Side Effects: Meth Mouth(nickname for sores in and on the mouth, tongue,etc), sores on body from picking at skin, feeling of insects crawling under skin, loss of ability to feel pleasure/happiness
  • Side(semi-immediate) Effects: irregular sleep patterns, nausea, loss of appetite,bizzare,random, and sometimes violent behavior
  • Long Term Effects: psychosis, depression, symptoms similar to Alzheimer's, epilepsy, and/or strokes, significant tooth decay, malnutrition and/or weight loss
  • Ingredients: Anhydrous Ammonia(lethal chemical), Sodium Hydroxide, Iodine(lethal),Matches(Red Phosphorous), Ephedrine(found in over-the-counter and formerly over-the-counter drugs), Ether(similar to Anesthesia), Drano(very toxic), Brake Fluid, Butane(lighter fluid), Hydrochloric Acid(very toxic, used to remove rust on steel)
